Brackentail crept around the Shadowed Forest, a big grin on his face as his crouched with his fur nearly touching the ground. He saw a leaf spiral down to the grass. He slowly padded forward, and just a second before the leaf landed, he pounced on it, giving a quiet mrrow of pleasure. He lay on the ground for a while, tossing the leaf up and down a few times before it slipped away in the breeze. After a while, he frowned a little at the stillness of the forest and sat up. He glanced around, wondering if someone else was there. But he saw no glimpse of fur or anything.
A second later, Brackentail noticed a little brown mouse rush by. He grinned happily and ran after it to catch up. Brackentail crouched low, as low as he could, so that his eyes were level with the mouse. When he was a tail-length away, he leapt onto the mouse and slashed it with his claws. The mouse was now dangling in Brackentail's mouth, and Brackentail was smiling, looking proud of his catch. At that moment, he heard a twig snap behind him. He quickly glanced over his shoulder to see what was there. He didn't see anything. He opened his jaws to taste the scents of the air; he could smell a cat in the area.
"Who's there?" Brackentail called eagerly into the forest. He heard nothing, but he knew that there was somebody there. He glared into the forest area. He almost hoped it was a rogue or enemy, because he had been itching for a battle all day. He waited, almost bouncing on his ginger paws.

At the sudden sound of a tom’s voice Volt stopped plain in her tracks. A soft breeze tugged at her golden fur as she crouched down low. But then a faint scent reached her nose. It was the smell of blood. Not cat’s blood but of a mouse and Volt was hungry. Definitely hungry. She slowly placed one paw after another as silent as she could be but a twig suddenly fell under her paws and it snapped, making a loud noise. Volt flinched. She hadn’t smelled or felt the twig before she stepped upon it and she could see it. She tensed hoping the tom nearby didn’t hear. She could smell that he was a BoneClanner and sometimes that meant trouble...

The ginger tom's eyes flashed around him suspiciously as he could smell the scent growing stronger. He dropped the mouse he had caught. He crouched low, his stomach nearly touching the green grass. Brackentail saw nothing as he glanced around, so after concluding that the stranger must be hiding, he called out again, "Who's there?!" He was starting to bounce lightly on his paws, excitement flooding through him. His whiskers twitched impatiently.
[I'd add more, but I have to go. Sorry.]

Volt raised her head a bit over the bushes she was hidden in. Her thoughts were focused on the ever warming smell of mouse blood. The comforting heavy weight of food in her stomach was much more enticing than the terrifying thought of being clawed by the tom. How about if I run fast enough that he may not see me. Yeah! That will work!! She thought hungrily, her tongue swiping over her bright white teeth as she took a steady step forward. Volt knew she was light on her feet but she didn't know if this would work. But food was a necessity and her last hunt didn't go very well. She focused her enhanced smell and sound senses completely on the tom. I have to aim this right... then she focused on the mouse that seemed to be calling her.
But then as she thought even deeper of the matter a simple thought appeared in the mix of decisions and ideas in her mind. How about if the tom saw me? she scolded herself, taking a step back. Volt could remember one trick her father told her and taught her about. It was a stunning move that stunned the opponent or opponents for a few seconds. Yes! she thought in triumph as if she knew it would definitely would work.
Without thinking one more word she sped forward. Once she was about an inch and a half away from the ginger tom she leaped upward ramming her golden head against the side of the tom's neck. She didn't realize how much it would hurt her back. She stumbled backward yet hoped it worked even though her shot was partly off.
(Its OK. =3 you can choose if your character gets stunned or not. But I'd prefer not... -hint hint- :3 )

Brackentail hissed, and glared at the loner. "I'm not blind!" meowed the tom, turning around to face the stranger. "If you think I'm so stupid as to miss something like that. . ." Brackentail meowed fiercely, "You'd better think again." He grinned slightly, then crouched into a fighting position, still glaring. His eyes were sharp and his fur bristled with excitement. He bared his teeth at the loner. What should I do now, fight her? Brackentail thought uncertainly, wondering now how strong his opponent was. If she's too strong for me. . . then I'll run for it, leaving a scratch on her for something to remember me by. He smirked at his own thoughts and fixed his eyes on the loner's movements.
[xD Shortness again. x.x Well, I'll try to make a longer post next time. I'm just too lazy sometimes. xD]

Hawkstar padded foward slowly, his eyes narrowed. He'd been out of the camp for a long time, and he didn't feel like going back to the annoying mewlings of kits and apprentices, and the complaints of the mousebrained elders. He let out a hiss of frustration, his scarred ears pricked foward, his dark tabby pelt blending with the surroundings he walked in. "This is so stupid! These warriors of mine couldn't scare a kit," he muttered under his breath, his poision green eyes flashing with anger at the warriors in his Clan. And I can't teach them anything without killing a few, he added to himself murkily. This was the season to be alert, the cold season. And yet, here they were, with nothing to defend, and everything to lose. Just one battle could wipe out most of the Clan, in his mind, anyways. Hawkstar grumbled something as he rounded a corner and nearly ran into Brackentail. Instead of letting the warrior see him, he backtracked and climbed a low-hanging oak branch, his green eyes fixed on the warrior abd the strange loner he was dealing with. This should get interesting.

Brackentail looked behind him, head turning quick as a whip. He could've sworn he'd felt something touch his fur or bump into him, but he didn't see anything there. His eyes suspiciously looked back to the loner, who was still standing there. "Well?" mewed Brackentail impatiently, tail swishing from side to side. His eyes turned bright at the thought of fighting. He grinned happily. "If you won't do anything. . ." meowed Brackentail. "I will!" He crouched, and shot forward toward the loner. "Here I come!" He meowed, almost sounding playful. He leapt at the loner, and aimed for her back.

Hawkstar peered down, his thick tail flicking lazily behind him. His whiskers twitched when Brackentail had turned around, and blinked when the warrior turned his attention back to the loner, or rouge, or whatever she was. Come on, fight, he thought, his poision green eyes narrowed.

Volt stepped to the side then launched herself into the air then aimed her heavy paws downward at the tom’s back. It didn’t work! she hissed. Now she got herself into a fight. She growled in frustration as she fell downward. Now there wasn’t a chance that she would get a meal nor is there a large chance she will get away unharmed. Now she would have to face the tom herself, but something made a faint sound in the distance that bothered her a bit.
(Sorry for late post!! School kept me away. >.< And sorry for short post. xD)

Brackentail landed lightly on his paws as the loner stepped aside, throwing off his aim. His grin faded slightly while he pondered on what to do next. The grin returned to his face as he thought. I'll run forward, fast as I can. When I'm low enough, I'll aim straight for her. . . . Brackentail continued planning his move in his head and launched himself forward. His fur felt the grass; he was low enough. Swiftly, he continued running and then he jumped up again, trying to land on her back. C'mon . . . don't move. . . . thought Brackentail as he zoomed toward the loner.
[It's okay. ^^ School always gets in the way. x.x Just do your best with staying active and it's all good. :3]

Volt let out a frustrated growl as she missed her attack. She shook her head as she waved her head back and forth whilst crouching down lower with each second. Now where is he?!?! she growled angerily to herself but then she suddenly realized he was above her. But instead of moving to the side, Volt gave a small smile as she lifted her muzzle and bared her large white fangs for the attack. Yes, get near... she thought knowing that if he attempted to do the same move she had tried a few seconds before, she knew how to counter it. But right before the tom was about two tail lengths away, Volt raised her paws into her hind legs, throwing her frontal limbs upward ready to stick her long claws into his exposed underbelly.

Hawkstar growled. He crept foward a little, the branch extending over the rouge. With an effortless movement, he careened downwards, his claws aiming for the rouge's head. Of course, he missed. He landed in front of her, his fur flat, his eyes mildly curious at the strange sight in front of him. Was this rouge blind? he thought, twitching his whiskers. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" he demanded, his deep voice echoing around them.

Brackentail heaved a sigh of frustration as he heard Hawkstar's deep voice. He landed on the ground with a thud, preventing himself from attacking the rogue. He turned around to face Hawkstar, standing in the rogue's view. "What do you want?" growled Brackentail lightly, swishing his dark ginger tail back and forth. He glared slightly at his leader, but had a respectful glint in his eyes.

Hawkstar's tail flicked at Brackentail. "Will you tell me who this rouge is, and why you are fighting her if she appears to be blind?" he growled deeply, his poision eyes turning to scorch at his warrior, as if to shame him for fighting someone who was physically uncapable of an even battle. But, even though he was on the scene in front of him, his mind traveled back to the cat with soft eyes, and the nine lives of a Clan leader, and what could not be his, though he wanted it with a burning desire. Hawkstar's dark tabby fur rippled along his spine as he took a step away from the rouge to stare at Brackentail, awaiting an answer.

Brackentail raised his eyebrow. "She isn't blind," he meowed. "I think she's just to mouse-brained to know how to fight me." He flicked his tail, and turned to face the rogue. "What's your name, anyway?" he asked calmly.
[Sorry for the shortness. I'm braindead today. xD]
